Environmental protection
Rob was instrumental in the passage of the Cape Cod Land Bank and was an early champion of establishing 15,000 acres on the Upper Cape as a wildlife sanctuary.

Economic development
Along with Senator Rauschenbach, Rob helped develop the Cape & Islands license plate program, which has generated more than $2 million for local economic, educational, and cultural projects. Rob also took a lead role in a multi-million dollar job-training program to help displaced workers and train local residents for new careers.

Health care
Rob was instrumental in bringing The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands to our area. He is also leading the effort to establish an 84-bed assisted living facility on the Upper Cape and is helping to build a community health center for medically underserved residents in the mid-Cape.

Affordable housing
As a county commissioner, Rob has played a lead role in bringing $8 million worth of affordable housing units to Cape Cod.
